Steel framing systems are an innovative and smarter way to build a studio. They are strong, lightweight and affordable. The strength of our steel frames ensures your build is durable and lasts for years to come. Being light weight makes transporting, handling and assembling easy and fast and it’s a highly affordable solution for when you need some extra space.
At Metframe Australia, we can custom make your studio steel frames to your exact specifications, or you can choose from our extensive range of off-the-shelf frames. Our steel can be used all your framing needs including your roofs, walls and floors. You can also choose to have the frames pre-assembled and delivered to you or receive them in a kit form which you can assemble yourself.
According to NSW Planning legislation, non-habitable rooms up to 20 sqm may be allowed on residential properties without sourcing a .building approval, given these studios meet strict conditions and criteria. Our steel frames can accommodate for these conditions and criteria.
Our steel frames are highly sustainable. They are made from partially recycled steel (old cars in fact), are 100% recyclable and infinitely recyclable, create minimal production and construction waste, are chemical free, help reduce your ongoing energy consumption and do not contribute to deforestation. The same can’t be said for timber frames.
We only manufacture our frames using steel that meets all Australian industry and construction standards while ensuring that each floor joist, wall panel and roof truss is engineered to the highest standards. We never compromise on the safety of our steel floor joists and all our steel is backed by warranties for eligible applicants.
We manufacture to the following Australians Standards:
We use BlueScope’s Truecore® Steel through our state-of-the-art roll forming machines because we believe it is the highest quality steel available for your builds – and we only want to manufacture the best quality frames and trusses for you.
BlueScope Truecore® back their steel with a warranty of up to 50 years for eligible applicants. This warranty is currently only offered to residential applicants and terms and conditions apply.
